New Year Eve's Mass (31 Dec 08)

After nearly one month of practices, we finally had to play for mass. We include, Felicia on keyboard...

Mark on drums...

Adrian Oyog on electric guitar...

Katrina on acoustic guitar.

Singers include Rachel Ng, Aundrey, Winnie Wong and John Stanley.

Well, It started with Mary's Boy Child. We had a super cool island version for this song. And after that are normal mass rights. RESPONSIRIAL PSALM WAS DONE BY ME! Wow, it was my first time and i did it! As Hiro Nakamura would say... YA-TA! I received compliments from a few people. Honestly, it felt GREAT! For the collection hymn we played Go Tell It On The Mountain. We played a country version thanks to Mr. Andre's input. Right after that we went straight into Christmas isn't Christmas. It was awesome. More mass rights and into The First Noel for communion. We Are The Reason was thanksgiving hymn and final we had Ave Maria. Did you know that the chorus of the song is part of the Hail Mary. yeah, we play some other Mother Mary song and Angels We Have Heard On High. Lastly, my favourite... JOY TO THE WORLD! The version we played is really cool. It had piano slides and everything. It started with an orcestra version followed by the modern verion. That throughtout the whole mass, minus the resp. psalm was my pride and joy. We ended it with a countdown which was ONE MINUTE LATE. Parish people were tapping their watches at us to tell us that we were late. So we started the one minute countdown which was filled with photos of events throughout the whole year. We ended it with Auld Lang Syne. After that, a few of the gang crashed in the Oyog's house to celebrate where we played mahjong, uno and poker. We also played PS2 and talked a lot. we eft at about 5. That's how we spent welcoming the new year. HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009!
